"Pokémon Rumble World" 3DS feature Mii characters, real money spending cap and does not lock out users from playing the game.

Kotaku reported that Nintendo's second free-to-play game for 3DS has some good ideas in store for players. First off, players' toy pocket monsters are paired off with Miis which are customizable and playable characters for the console. Miis offer support if rescued in the battles and can be pulled off from Streetpass as well.

The game also has a spending limit. Using real money, players can only buy up to 3000 Poké Diamonds which is worth around $30. These diamonds are the in-game currency and can be used to buy balloons, extras and items for customization. Players can also get diamonds from tough levels in the game.

Furthermore, unlike other freemium games where players need to wait for their lives to recharge, users will never be locked out from "Pokémon Rumble World" 3DS. Even while their balloons are still recharging, one can continue to play the king's challenges and take on its more difficult variations as well as earn gems.

"You can also get some helpful items by throwing those Diamonds around but, again, spending money on said Diamonds never feels mandatory," Cinema Blend wrote in its review of "Pokémon Rumble World" 3DS.

"That, coupled with the fact that you can get a decent collection of Diamonds from simply playing the game, means that Nintendo once again offers a free-to-play title that does the model proud."

However, the website commented that Nintendo has offered light gameplay for this game. Although, they admitted that it will "scratch an itch for players who love to grind and collect things." Cinema Blend also described the game as a "middling adventure" which will keep players busy for a 10 minutes at a time.
