"Boruto: Naruto the Movie" plot has been revealed in the 26th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.

"Boruto is the son of the 7th Hokage Naruto who completely rejects his father," Anime News Network reported.

"Behind this, he has feelings of wanting to surpass Naruto, who is respected as a hero. He ends up meeting his father's friend Sasuke, and requests to become... his apprentice!? The curtain rises on the story of the new generation written by Masashi Kishimoto!"

The magazine also announced that fans will be able to choose one of two fans designed by "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" plot and story creator Masashi Kishimoto as a special gift. The "Uzumaki Version" will feature Naruto and Boruto while the "Uchiha Version" will show Sasuke and Sarada. However, it is limited to 100 thousand fans.

New character designs for Boruto, Sarada and Mitsuki will be revealed in the 27th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump. Mitsuki was not featured in the manga but he was in the "Naruto: The Seventh Hokage" and Scarlet Spring sequel manga miniseries. He is described as mysterious and has a composed expression.

Yuko Sanpei will play Boruto and Kokoro Kikuchi will play Sarada. Junko Takeuchi will reprise his role as Naruto Uzumaki and Noriaki Sugiyama will return to play Sasuke Uchiha. The film will be shown in Japanese theaters on Aug. 7 but fans can buy tickets as early as Jun. 27.

It was previously reported that Sasuke will train Boruto and Orochimaru will be the film's villain. There have been speculations that Mitsuki may become an evil character. Boruto, Mitsuki and Sarada may compose the New Team 7. This will follow the story of the manga spin-off "Naruto Gaiden: The Seventh Hokage."

"Boruto the Movie" is a spin-off of "The Last: Naruto the Movie." It focuses on the story of Naruto and Hinata's son as well as the new generation of Hidden Leaf ninjas.
