How Is Apple Cider Vinegar Different From Other Vinegars?

All vinegars seem alike. However, according to many studies and researches, apple cider vinegar encompasses more benefits than other vinegar types especially in the field of health and medicine. It has been perhaps the most versatile type of vinegar and is considered pioneer in health benefits through oral consumption.

White vinegar on the other hand is mainly used in house cleaning, cooking, and food preservation while others are used mainly for salad dressings and baking. With the various health benefits of apple cider vinegar, it's no wonder it has been flocking in the online world creating a buzz in terms of its medicinal properties.

 In fact, apple cider vinegar was used by a Greek doctor, Hipprocates in his prescriptions to his patients. He mixed apple cider vinegar with honey to treat numerous ailments and was proven effective. As of today, alternative medicine has been hyped as the new natural means of healing people and one of the most popular of them all is this vinegar type.

Among others, apple cider vinegar is branded as a cure for many types of illnesses like high cholesterol as it aids in removal of artery plaques and even to decrease high blood pressure. Apple cider vinegar and distilled commercial vinegar are the most abundant vinegar types in the United States.

The commercial or distilled clear vinegar is colorless vinegar made from ethanol or laboratory-produced acetic acid and then mixed or diluted in water. It is good for pickling and household cleaning but not a very good vinegar for cooking because of its harsh taste.

On the other hand, ACV is an unfiltered product which is brownish to yellow in color. It contains what they call "mother of vinegar" which is responsible for most of its health benefits.

Health and wellness are indeed major concepts that need elaboration in the fast paced life today. Knowing more about alternative medicine like the wonders of this vinegar will aid in the improvement of self-help in the field of health and medicine.

Lastly, ACV possesses many health benefits from controlling blood pH, blood cholesterol, promoting weight loss and treating joint problems.
