The skin is the biggest organ of the human body, and taking good care of it is essential to a healthy life. Unfortunately, many of the cosmetic and beauty products available in the market are loaded with toxins and other harmful ingredients. Regular use of such products can take a serious toll on our health.

What a relief it is to know that natural, healthy beauty products are available right from the kitchen cupboard. Before you decide to buy another facial cream or exfoliating scrub, read the label and think again. Maybe what you're looking for has been available in your kitchen all along. Here are some natural options for skin care straight from the cupboard.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has been labeled as "the most fantastic all-around beauty product" by Mind Body Green. Well indeed it is, as you can use it for moisturizing, preventing bacteria, and many more. Abundant in Vitamin E, coconut oil helps in the growth and repair of skin cells. It is also an effective anti-aging agent and helps heal dry, cracking lips. Coconut oil can also be used as a makeup remover.

Oatmeal and Brown Sugar

Oatmeal and brown sugar are masters in exfoliation, keeping the skin soft and supple and dead skin away. Sugar granules are coarse yet invigorating, while oats are soft, moisturizing, and cooling. This is the perfect balance for the perfect exfoliator, as the subtle texture of the oats makes up for the roughness of the sugar, resulting beautiful, healthy skin. The amino acids found in the sugar-oatmeal mixture helps heal blemishes, repair damaged skin, and ac t as anti-inflammatories.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar (ACV) contains natural acids that balance the skin's pH levels, unlike conventional cleansers and makeup removers that are too harsh that they make the skin extra vulnerable to irritations. ACV softens, exfoliates, reduces redness, and cures acne and dry spots.
