"Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5" trailer has revealed adventures awaiting thrashers in the upcoming skateboarding video game.

"In case you need to get up to speed: our goal is to capture the combo-driven energy and tightly designed levels of the 'Pro Skater' games while ambitiously expanding the experience with seamless online play," Robomodo president Josh Tsui wrote on the PlayStation blog.

"Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5" trailer revealed the signature style of the series with a brand-new set of levels. It has the same focus on exciting objectives, intuitive controls and high-score tricks, which includes manuals and reverts, to create huge combos.

Skateboarding pros featured in the video game are Tony Hawk, Nyjah Huston, Chris Cole, Riley Hawk, Aaron "Jaws" Homoki, Lizzie Armanto, Leticia Bufoni, David Gonzalez, Andrew Reynolds and Ishod Wair. Players can also customize own skater as well as their own skateparks to share with the online community.

"Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5" online multiplayer enables players to drop in and out of ongoing online skate sessions with friends and challengers around the world. "It's like a skatepark that never closes," Tsui commented.

Players can complete missions, unlock new content and level up online or offline in the game. They can also battle against others in competitive matches and play with 20 people at once. Online features are only available for the PS4 version, though. There will be no online mode for last-gen versions of the game.

"Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5" is slated for release on Sep. 29, 2015 for PS4 and Xbox One. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions are expected to be released by the end of the year. The skateboarding video game is being developed by Robomodo and Disruptive Games. It will be published by Activision. Pre-order programs for the game are being set up by the developers and more details will be revealed in the upcoming months.
