News outlets are reporting that Ariana Grande will not face charges for licking doughnuts in a California bakery last week, according to Buzzfeed.

However, contrary to ongoing reports, the owner of Wolfee Donuts, Joe Marin, reportedly told a Toronto Radio show today that he has been in touch with police about pressing charges against the pop star.

Marin reportedly filed charges on Monday, July 6.

“I did press charges and then when I was reading the newspaper it said that… I decided not to, and I don’t know where that came from,” stated Marin.

The investigation, which involved the Department of Health as well, lowered the restaurant’s grade from an “A” to a “B” because the tray of doughnuts had been left exposed, according to CBS News. Although footage of the “Problem” singer only showed her licking a couple doughnuts, Grande reportedly may have done a little more than that.

“One of the trays, yeah, she was licking on them and the other trays, she spit on them,” stated Marin.

The downgrade has reportedly hurt his business.

“I think she should be pressed with charges. Just because she’s popular…If it was one of us, like a regular customer, they would do something about it,” explained Marin.

Grande has since issued an apology regarding her behavior at the doughnut shop.

“Seeing a video of yourself behaving poorly that you had no idea was taken is such a rude awakening.” stated the 22-year-old singer.
