"Thor 3: Ragnarok" could be the biggest standalone film, and will potentially give more insights on the Infinity War, updates hinted.

While reports have been discussing Asgard's fall in the third movie as signified by the Ragnarok plot, many are speculating that "Thor 3" will play a more pivotal role by including the infinity stones and possibly Thanos in the upcoming flick.

"According to an interview Feige did with Cinema Blend, there are in fact two different gloves in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and no, Thanos was not removing anything from Odin's vault in that mid-credits scene in 'Avengers 2.' But this doesn't mean that 'Thor 3' won't be playing a huge factor - perhaps the biggest - in furthering the story of Thanos and the Infinity Stones," Movie Pilot revealed.

"Thor: Ragnarok is still looking like it will be the most important Phase 3 movie concerning the Infinity Stones and the next step in Thanos' plan. Though the wildcard of 'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' could definitely make some forward movement to this storyline as well."

The report goes on by saying that the fourth infinity gem could be unveiled in the next movie.

"The good money is on the last two gems, the Time Stone and Soul Stone, being revealed in 'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' and 'Doctor Strange,' if not 'Thor 3,'" the article added.

Fans should be excited for "Thor 3: Ragnarok" as it looks like it will serve a very important role in the MCU phase 3.

As one fan argued in a Movie Pilot comment, "Thor 3: Ragnarok" should be done right in order to set-up the Infinity Wars.

"Of all of Marvel movies, this is the one movie that is going to tie into Infinity War," Odins Eye claimed. "Not so much because of Ragnarok, but because of the infinity gems."

"Ragnarok is the end of times based on Norse mythology. It is the destruction of Asgard. To be done correctly, it has to be big, bigger than Avengers and Avengers Age Of Ultron. It has to set the table as it is the ultimate tie into Infinity Wars. Marvel has to get this right. As good and as entertaining as Thor The Dark World was, it could have been, no, make that should have been better."

"Thor may be the last stand alone of the main characters, and yet it still has the infinity gems and probably has Thanos, though to what degree remains to be seen," he continued.
