The latest Lamar Odom 2015 news revealed that the NBA star's condition has improved but he still is struggling with memory loss.

Us Weekly reported that Lamar Odom's health has been getting better and better these past few weeks. A source confirmed to the publication that the former Lakers player was recently able to walk unassisted.

"He gets better a little bit every day," the source said. "He took a few steps without the walker. It's very slow and he's supposed to go to the rehab any day now."

Last October, Lamar Odom was found unconscious at the Love Ranch brothel in Las Vegas. It was revealed that he overdosed on drugs, specifically cocaine and sexual performance enhancers.

According to Fox Sports, the NBA star's progress reportedly shocked his doctors. He was also said to have been able "to reach back and put on his hood during a recent visit by his estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian."

Moreover, once the doctors are content with his improvement, Lamar Odom will be transferred to a rehab facility. This may happen soon with the way things are going.

Although his motor skills are slowly but surely coming back, Huffington Post reported that Lamar Odom still suffers from major physical and mental impairments.

"Odom definitely has some memory loss," a source said. "[He] forgets a lot of people's names -- sometimes even his own."

Last month, Odom's estranged wife Khloe Kardashian revealed that the NBA star still does not remember the events that led to his hospitalization last Oct. 13.

"We tell him that he had a brain injury, but we can't tell him how that brain injury was caused, because that will set him back," Kardashian explained.

"He never asks why he's here. He doesn't ask. He's really confused a lot -- sometimes he knows who the president is and his birthday, and sometimes he thinks he's 26, and I say, 'I bet you wish you were 26, so do I!'"
