Big B's fans are rejoicing with the news of Amitabh Bacchan replacing Aamir Khan in the Government of India' initiative ''Incredible India''. The fans of Aamir Khan are sad.

As reported by Times of India, the Union Tourism Ministry's first choice was Amitabh Bacchan due to his widely acceptable image. Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra were also considered for the role.

TOI also reported that sources close to Mr. Bacchan have kept their mouths shut as there was no formal proposal made to the megastar. The KBC (Kaun Bangea Crorepati) hit maker Mr. Bacchan also promotes ''Gujarat tourism'' and the ads -''Kuch Din to Gujariye Gujarat mein'' have been quite popular and have given a boost to the tourism there.

It is speculated by the media that the recent ''Intolerance remarks'' by the ''Satyamev Jayate'' famed host Aamir Khan which were all over the social media a few weeks back might be the reason behind this move.

It was reported that Aamir Khan's wife Kiran Rao did not feel safe in India and wanted to leave the country. Even though Khan clarified at various occasions that it was misinterpreted, this fiasco had created enough storms.

DNA reported that the Janata Dal (United) slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Government for removing Khan and dubbed the move as 'cultural intolerance'.

JD (U) leader KC Tyagi said, "Amitabh Bachhan is a great actor and I don't have any objection on this name (for Incredible India campaign). But removing Aamir Khan shows a new kind of cultural intolerance. Aamir Khan was doing his job properly. The current government could not accept his comments, I condemn it.''

TOI also reported Aamir Khan saying, ''whether I am brand ambassador or not, India will remain Incredible.'' Twitter is abuzz with this news.

However the new report from the Ministry of Tourism claims this to be a false propaganda. The ministry's statement confirmed that Aamir Khan was not removed from the ''Incredible India'' campaign. His contract had ended and that's it.

Aamir Khan clarified his position on a tweet, "It has been an honour and a pleasure for me to be the Brand Ambassador for the Incredible India campaign for the past 10 years. I was happy to be of service to my country, and will always be available for it."

So this time ''The Don'' wins and ''PK'' goes back to pavilion.

Aamir Khan was in news a few days back and YHM had covered that.
