Shakira's New Album Will Come Out in 2016: Will She Finally Nail A Golden Globe Award?

There is some great news for the fans of this Columbian beauty Shakira. She was on a hiatus to take care of her two children, however is reported to be back in studio in 2016.

Latintimes reported about the release of her eleventh album by the end of this year or the beginning of next year.

Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll is a Colombian singer, songwriter, dancer, record producer, choreographer, and model and is known by her screen and stage name Shakira.

Shakira released her first studio albums, ''Magia'' and ''Peligro'', in the early 1990s however these albums were not very successful commercially. She entered the English-language market with her fifth album, ''Laundry Service''. Its lead single, "Whenever, Wherever", became the best-selling single of 2002 and laid a solid foundation stone of her music career.

Her sixth and seventh albums ''Fijación Oral, Vol. 1'' and ''Oral Fixation, Vol. 2'' (2005) took her to the pinnacle of success.  "Hips Don't Lie" was a famous song by Shakira featuring the Haitian rapper Wyclef Jean for the reissue of her seventh studio album- ''Oral Fixation, Vol. 2''. This became an instant hit and still is one of the most popular night club songs played across the globe.

Her eighth album ''She Wolf'' which was released in 2009 and ninth album ''Sale el Sol'' which was released in 2010 did not fare very well in the Music arena. However her tenth album ''Shakira'' which was released in 2014 is remembered by the fans for its lead single, "Can't Remember to Forget You" featuring Rihanna.

Shakira has won many awards, including five MTV Video Music Awards, two Grammy Awards, one Groovevolt Music Awards, eight Latin Grammy Awards, two International Dance Music Awards, seven Billboard Music Awards, 28 Billboard Latin Music Awards and has been nominated for Golden Globe in the Music category.

Her official song for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)", became the biggest-selling World Cup song with 950 Million views on YouTube.
