It has been years since "Attack on Titan" and season 2 updates have just revealed characters and a confirmed release date to boot!

Following the first season of "Attack on Titan," it seems the fan-base for the anime series has gone relatively quiet. Moviepilot pointed out that while audiences were delighted with the series, clamor for season 2 has gone down. Does this mean "Attack on Titan" fans aren't interested as much as before?

"Do you think it may have been a bit too long since Season 1 aired? It has been two and a half years," the report pointed out. "In that time, we've seen the rise of some other supremely popular series. And while I'm not saying this is about popularity, it seems that the hype surrounding 'Attack on Titan' [season 2] isn't as high as one would expect," it added.

While it could be so, updates on season 2 have still been circling online, including release date details, as well as the next possible plot of "Attack on Titans."

According to KoreaPortal, "Attack on Titans" season 2 release date has been set next month in Japan. However, a US release date has yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, apart from release date updates, "Attack on Titans" speculations have also revealed that amid major character deaths, a new titan will also be arriving come season 2 release date. According to Design&Trend, "There will be many deaths involving some of the trademark characters of the series in season 2."

"The biggest spoiler for 'Attack on Titan' season 2 is the death of Levi Ackerman, the strongest fighter from the first season. Erwin Smith is also expected to take a hit, losing an arm and leaving the squad," added the update.

While death is a possible occurrence in "Attack on Titan," new characters coming to season 2 is also inevitable. What do you think happens as the release date arrives?
