Since the apple cider vinegar's (ACV) core ingredient are apples, it also contains the minerals and nutrients that apple contain. ACV is healthy vinegar for it contains potent vitamins and minerals that are good for the health like pectin, Vitamin C, Vitamins B1, B2 and B6, biotin, folic acid, niacin, pantothenic acid, and small amounts of minerals like potassium, sodium, phosphorus, calcium, and iron.

ACV contains over 90 ingredients and aside from that, it contains beneficial elements that work together to make it as the "mother of vinegar". The main component of ACV is acetic acid which is also known as ethanoic acid which is a colorless liquid that has a pungent smell and sour taste.

Many studies can attest that acetic acid has many health benefits for the body. In fact, acetic acid has been used for thousands of years as an antibacterial agent. It was revealed that it has good activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Acinetobacter baumannii and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Malic acid is also a component of apple cider vinegar. Malic acid is an organic dicarboxylic acid found in various wines, sour apples, regular apples and other fruits. It is also used in some cosmetics to balance its pH levels. It helps in digestion and in detoxifying the body.

It contains pectin which is regarded as the fiber in most fruits like apples. Pectin is an active apple ingredient that can decrease abdominal spasm and brings volume and viscosity to the stool. It is therefore good for diarrhea and stomach upset. It increases the acidity in the large intestines that inhibit proliferation of microorganisms. Lastly, it stabilizes the blood sugar as it becomes a gel when ingested slowing down the natural absorption of fructose.

It contains vitamins like Vitamin C, Vitamins B1, B2 and B6. Vitamin C is a potent and important nutrient found in most fresh fruits like apples. Vitamin C is an antioxidant which when digested, turns into water soluble antioxidant which affect the free radicals in the body. Free radicals are uncharged molecules in the body that are very reactive that causes tissue and cell damage. They can cause oxidative stress to the cells causing cell death, acceleration of skin aging and are culprits in many types of cancers. It promotes an enhanced immune system.

B Vitamins are effective in relieving stress, improving mind and memory, relieves migraines, and reduces heart disease risks. Vitamins B1 and B2 are responsible for the healthy functioning of the muscles, heart and nerve cells while Vitamin B6 is responsible in boosting the immune system and aids in protein break down.

Lastly, it contains other ingredients like Folic Acid, Biotin, Pantothenic Acid, Potassium, Sodium, Phosphorus, Calcium and Iron.
