Former "The Vampire Diaries" star Nina Dobrev was able to successfully avoid her ex-boyfriends, Austin Stowell and Ian Somerhalder, at the Oscars.

According to Australia Network News, the former "The Vampire Diaries" actress was in attendance for the 2016 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday night.

Nina Dobrev wore a blush gown with floral accents designed by Elie Saab. The event was held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts.

Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder reportedly attended Elton John's party as a couple in 2013, two months before they broke up. Last year, the "Final Girls" actress also went to the party hosted by the iconic pop star.

This year, though, Dobrev has chosen to skip Elton John's viewing party. Moreover, it may be because of Ian Somerhalder and his wife, Nikki Reed, who attended the event together.

This comes as a surprise to fans since the actress has always insisted that she and her ex-boyfriend have remained friends after they broke up.

Apparently, another reason for Nina Dobrev's absence may have been Austin Stowell. In a report by E! News, the couple ended their relationship after seven months of dating.

"It started to get hard with both of their schedules," a source said. "They remain on good terms."

CDL noted that Nina Dobrev and Austin Stowell's breakup may have been caused by the actress' sexy performance on "Lip Sync Battle."

The former "TVD" star did a sensual song and dance number as she grinded on Tim Tebow's leg for her rendition of Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get it On." It seems like Stowell must have been furious to see his lady love bumping and grinding another man on national television.

It was previously reported that Nina Dobrev may return for "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 if it has been confirmed to be the last season for the series.

"There is still a chapter of [Elena's] story left to be told," Julie Plec admitted. She added that she'll "take [Dobrev] for whatever she's willing to do to tell that story."
