It has been long since "Red Dead Redemption" has been handed over to players. Six years of waiting is already a long time for die-hard fans. Right now, anyone could be hopeful the game is just around the corner.

Unfortunately, there is still no official announcement as of this writing when the game will finally be released. According to Parent Herald, it is possible the highly anticipated game will be released during E3, while other reports suggest an October release.

Varying claims only signify that there is too much to work on yet for this game. And while fans couldn't wait any further, Rockstar should probably be focusing on production, at least.

Parent Herald added that a former Rockstar developer revealed the game's been in production for already four years, and shared what it might be called, "Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West."

Meanwhile, Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two confirmed that a "Red Dead Redemption 2" is still plausible, and clarified the long waiting is due to them being "selective."

"I pretty much know the ones that I can assure you are permanent. It's obvious that GTA is a permanent franchise as long as we keep delivering this incredible quality; it seems quite obvious that Red Dead is a permanent franchise, again with the same caveat, or Borderlands, for example, and NBA and others," he said.

With "Red Dead Redemption 2" being highly anticipated, Escapist Magazine listed some of its expectations for the upcoming game.

It hopes for "more quests" and even "stronger characters" where the mentioned report reiterated how Rockstar was able to make each and every character from "Red Dead Redemption" remarkable, even for very minor roles only.

It also expressed its upset on how the characters from "GTA V" were portrayed, noting how the developer fell a little short for this installment and how it is hoping to not do the same mistake in the upcoming "Red Dead Redemption 2."
