"Zoolander 2" is a sequel to the 2001 comedy film "Zoolander."

Ben Stiller directed and starred in the first installment as Derek Zoolander along with Owen Wilson, who portrayed Hansel McDonald. Justin Theroux, writer of "Iron Man 2," will reportedly co-write the script and direct the upcoming sequel.

"So hot right now: Derek & Hansel blaze down the @MaisonValentino runway, #Zoolander2 announced. Coming Feb. 12, 2016," Paramount Pictures tweeted on Mar. 10 along with an image of Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson hitting up the Valentino fashion show.

After almost 15 years, the highly-anticipated sequel to "Zoolander" will finally hit theaters next year. The production will start filming later this spring in the beautiful city of Rome. Christine Taylor (Matilda Jeffries) and Will Ferrell (Jacobim Mugatu) are reprising their roles. Penelope Cruz will be making an appearance as well.

Stiller and Wilson showed up in character and closed the Valentino fashion show at Paris Fashion Week. The duo appeared unannounced on the runway wearing not Derelicte, to our dismay, but pajamas and trench coats. However, they were seen backstage with Vogue editor Anna Wintour which alerted the audience that something extraordinary will happen.

"Derek wears a custom Night Butterflies brocade suit with hand-embroidered overcoat and black Creeper shoes. Hansel wears a Silk Continent print Pajama suit with Double Cashmere overcoat and Open sneakers," Screencrush.com wrote.

Donning their most suave supermodel smolder, Derek and Hansel dominated the runway with their walk-off which will certainly be deemed as the wildest one in fashion history. It still remains to be seen, though, whether their spontaneous appearance will be part of the film.

"Zoolander" featured elements from short films which were directed by Russell Bates and written by Drake Sather and Ben Stiller for the TV specials of VH1 "Fashion Awards." The short films and movie focuses on not-so-intelligent male model Derek Zoolander.
