The movie roster in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a growing list and there's so much to remember! Here are the Marvel films coming between 2015 and 2019 with all the essential details including development release date, casting, synopsis, and trailers.
Let's get to it, according to Collider, "Avengers: Age of Ultron" stars returning superheroes portrayed by Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, and Jeremy Renner. Synopsis of "Avengers: Age of Ultron" focuses on another villainous character that challenges Iron Man, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Captain America, Black Widow and Hawkeye. The next film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is "Ant-Man" stars funny man Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas with cast members Evangeline Lily and the main antagonist portrayed by Corey Stoll. "Ant-Man" story focuses on a microscopic hero who faces "towering threats" (as described in the film's official synopsis). "Ant-Man" release date is set on July 1, with its trailer recently released!
"Captain America: Civil War" comes next with a May 6, 2016 release date. Cast members include Chris Evans and will be joined by "Avengers" co-stars Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, and Jeremy Renner. "Captain America: Civil War" synopsis reveals "Tony Stark is pitted against Captain America." Trailer for "Captain America: Civil War" has yet to be released.
Next in the movie lineup is "Doctor Strange" with a release date set on Nov. 4, 2016. Marvel has commissioned British actor Benedict Cumberbatch to star as the titular character "Doctor Strange" and other cast members have yet to be revealed. Synopsis and trailer are also not yet available.
Following "Doctor Strange" in the movie lineup of Marvel films is the sequel "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" set for a May 5, 2017 release date. No official news on casting has been revealed, with trailer and synopsis information to be updated.
"Spider-Man" reboot is next in the Marvel Cinematic Universe lineup, with a July 28, 2017 release date. Other than confirmation of a younger Peter Parker, no casting has been set to stone so far. The official title of this "Spider-Man" reboot also remains to be announced.
