Now it can be told: Bruce Jenner, the popular patriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner family and one of the celebrated Olympians in the entire world, has finally confirmed that he is planning to become a woman.

Speaking with Diane Sawyer for 20/20 on Friday, April 24, Bruce has finally put an end to many speculations, proudly saying that she's a woman.

Much of the episode followed the 65-year-old Bruce as he shuttled between Los Angeles and New York, as well as talked about the many struggles he had to go through before he decided to be finally open about his desire.

According to him, he's already known while he was still a child that he wanted to become a woman. He narrated how, sometimes, he'd rummage through the dresses of her mother if she's out, making sure that he could mark the exact place where he got them so she wouldn't have any suspicions.

In a very surprising admission, he actually continued with the practice even when he was already old and traveling all over the world as a motivational speaker. He shared how he used the comforts of his own hotel room to dress up.

In fact, he's now referring to himself as her or she, Bruce now considered as a third person.

Bruce didn't hide this part of himself and desire to his family, including Kris, with whom he has four stepchildren and four biological children. He has two more kids, Burt and Cassandra.

He already began his transition many years ago when he took estrogen for more than 3 years (he's currently resuming the treatment). He's also undergone many surgeries to make his face appear more feminine. He didn't say if he's planning to have more.

Bruce wants to get the message out, but is not ready to be called an advocate for males who are planning to transition or have already transitioned. Ever since his interview, he's received support from GLAAD.
