New "Dragon Ball Z" TV series "Dragon Ball Super" may have as many as 100 episodes or more!

It was reported that Toei Animation is planning to make a minimum of 100 episodes for their new TV series. In the event that "Dragon Ball Super" is a success, they might even increase the number of episodes that they will air.

Toei Animation's latest anime show is expected to premiere in Japan this July. It will be written by original series creator Akira Toriyama, who has recently worked on the film "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F."

Although no official announcement has been made by the studio regarding the episodes, fans are excited for the new "Dragon Ball Z" TV series since this will be the latest show for the franchise in 18 years. "Dragon Ball GT" was the last anime show for the series and aired way back in 1996 and 1997.

The new "Dragon Ball Z" TV series is set after the events of the Buu saga and the recent film, "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F." Fuji TV is producing the anime show. Producer Osamu Nozaki has revealed that an enemy stronger than Majin Buu or Frieza may make an appearance in the series.

There may also be an onslaught of tougher characters in the upcoming show. The Koalition reported that secondary characters such as Gohan, Trunks, Goten and Piccolo should be more useful in the new "Dragon Ball Z" TV series.

Vegeta ought to have his own time under the spotlight as well. With his crucial role in "Resurrection of F," the prince of the fallen Saiyan race may finally get his moment to surpass Goku's power, even for a short while.

Frieza, according to the website, is reportedly the greatest "Dragon Ball Z" villain with his ruthlessness and his plans to dominate the universe. It reportedly will be a "more fascinating journey" if fans get to see a complex villain with more sinister plans.
