Fans might have to wait for a while before "Frozen 2" premieres. Cast, plot and release date rumors suggest that the highly anticipated sequel could be slated for a 2018 screening.
"Director Chris Buck, Jennifer Lee and producer Peter Del Vecho will be on hand to take charge once things get moving," Master Herald noted. "According to reports, the second movie is coming out so much later because the company does not want to rush through it and make sure that it can live up to the original film."
Previous reports claimed that another Disney princess named "Moana" will take the centerstage right before Anna and Elsa, and the rest of the Arendelle crew return for another icy adventure.
"Why isn't Frozen coming before 2018? Well, Moana's movie comes first," Movie Pilot reported.
"Moana will be the next Disney princess after Anna and Elsa. And even though Moana is coming 2016, there are multiple other Disney movies expected around the same time."
While the team behind the Disney hit continue to keep mum about plot and cast details, rumor has it that Elsa could have a love interest in the upcoming flick. And no, it won't be Jack Frost.
"According to Latino Post, 'goofy, lovable and caring' Olaf could play as one of Elsa's potential love interest given his ability to communicate so well with the humans and exemplify the meaning of selflessness and true love," Movie News Guide reported.
"The outlet cited that Olaf previously stayed by Anna's side at the fireplace and told her, 'Some things are worth melting for.' This makes Olaf a good choice for Elsa, who was once described as a queen with a cold heart."
But if this Olaf-Elsa team-up will not pan out, the cute snowman could have another love interest.
"Olaf might be getting a girlfriend to increase cuteness in the movie. That and the $$$," Movie Pilot added.
Sadly, a Jack Frost-Elsa or JElsa team-up could never come true.
