A new "Dragon Ball Z" TV series, "Dragon Ball Super," trailer has been revealed.
Kotaku reported that the trailer recently debuted on Japanese TV. YouTube user Dragon Ball Z ᴴᴰ translated the 14-second clip. The Japanese title of the series is "Dragon Ball Chou," which means super or hyper.
"Hello, I'm Goku!" the trailer stated. "After 18 years, [here] finally comes a new series, 'Dragon Ball Super.' The first issue is in July. We have new battles now, friends. Don't forget to see us very soon!"
The new "Dragon Ball Z" TV series, "Dragon Ball Super," will premiere in Japan on Jul. 5 and will be aired every Sunday at 9 a.m. It will be shown after the "Dragon Ball Kai" series broadcast. The series will have an enemy who is stronger than Majin Buu or Frieza. There are speculations that it may Broly or God-Broly.
Series creator Akira Toriyama is credited for the show's story and character concepts. Kimitoshi Chioka of Toei Animation will direct the new "Dragon Ball Z" TV series while Naoko Sagawa and Atsushi Kido join the production as producers along with Nozaki. The story is set after the events of Majin Buu's defeat.
A new manga promo art for "Dragon Ball Super" has revealed Goku's character design. He was shown with his signature orange jumpsuit, blue belt, blue wristbands and blue boots.
"Again, thanks to those who had authorized us to publish the last image, here is an overview of the ending," the "Dragon Ball Super" official account tweeted.
Attack of the Fanboy reported that the series' official Twitter page has teased an image of the storyboard for the end credits of the first episode. The picture shows a rough image of Goku and his kid version as well as what looks like adult Gohan. The website commented that it looked like some sort of flashback involving the super saiyan.
