"Empire" has always dominated TV show ratings since it started airing on Fox, with its season 2 expected to reel in the same results. However, rapper 50 Cent was never a huge fan and thinks that his own show is even better than the highly watched music drama that stars Taraji Henson and Terrence Howard.

50 Cent has is own hip hop drama on Starz, "Power." "Power" is still on its first season, while "Empire" season 2 will be premiering on the small screens on September 23.

Despite the success that "Empire" has gotten, Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, thinks that it was the kind of show that anyone can access and watch for absolutely free. "Power," on the other hand, is something that people will pay for.

"'Empire' is some sh*t you should get for free," he wrote as a caption on an Instagram photo. "Now that 'Power' is worth paying for, Starz premium cable."

This recent diss was actually not surprising, especially after he accused Fox for copying his concept earlier this year. He mentioned that Fox wanted to stay ahead of th original show by creating a plot course that was "extremely fast."

"I am first," he told Vulture, as reported by Franchise Herald. "My show is better. I will make Terrence Howard tell you I am first and my show is better. Ain't nobody on 'Empire' cast better than me."

"What is that boy's name again, doing the singing on 'Empire'?" Cent added. "That one. And who else? Who is the other one? Man, I do not even know him!"

These two shows may have similar concepts, but they do not have the same time slots. By the time, "Empire" season 2 begins, the first season of "Power" will have already finished and will be waiting on Starz's decision in whether to renew it for season 2 or to cancel it.
