Danielle Jacobs, who has Asperger’s Syndrome, posted a candid video of herself having an emotional episode to show the world what it’s really like to have Asperger’s, according to The Huffington Post.

In her video, Jacobs’ dog is seen trying to comfort his owner in the best way he can, by nudging his head against her and attempting to stop her from harming herself with his paws.

“This is what having Asperger’s is like,” Jacobs explained below the footage of the clip.

“This is what really happened and it’s not easy to open myself and share what it’s like on a daily basis. This is what’s considered a meltdown.”

Jacobs has trained her dog, Samson, “to alert to depressive episodes and self-harm,” according to the U.K. publication The Independent.

The recent clip is one of several videos posted by Jacobs documenting her experience with Asperger’s Syndrome. There are also reportedly videos of her training Samson.

The video has garnered more than 2 million views. Many have showed their support for Jacobs via social media.

“Being someone who suffers from Asperger’s, I can relate. While I do not have depression or urges to hurt myself, I know how hard it is to struggle with something you cannot change or control. I hope you are doing better, Danielle,” wrote YouTube user fanny3211.
