‘Gears Of War: Ultimate Edition’ Beta Played Over 1 Million Matches? Game’s Amazing Visuals Showcased In Teaser

Over one million matches has been played in the "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition" beta.

In the game's official Twitter page, it was announced that the "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition" beta has had, eight days after launch, 41.2 million kills, 1.6 million chainsaw kills, 5.9 million executions, 1.7 curbstomps performed and over 145,000 frag tag deaths. It already had over one million matches played equivalent to about 120 years of gameplay. Furthermore, it already has over 785,000 unique users in 66 different countries.

VG247 reported that the multiplayer "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition" beta was launched during last week's E3 2015. The Ultimate Edition will have new content like five brand-new campaign chapters and early access to "Gears of War 4" multiplayer beta in 2016. "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition" is slated for release on Aug. 25 for Xbox One.

A new "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition" teaser was published showcasing the game's amazing new visuals. It will have a 1080p resolution and will run on 60 fps. According to Gaming Bolt, "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition" will feature reworked textures and character models, improved physics and anti-aliasing, better animation and improved effects.

The game's Ultimate Edition will have new game types such as Team Deathmatch, King of the Hill (similar to "Gears of War 3") and a new 2v2 Gnasher Execution. There will be 19 maps, including all DLC and PC-exclusive maps. There will also be 17 unlockable "Gears of War 3" characters for Multiplayer progression. "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition" will cost $39.99.

"The story of 'Gears of War' thrusts gamers into a deep and harrowing battle for survival against the Locust Horde, a nightmarish race of creatures that surfaced from the bowels of the planet," the game's description stated. "Players live and breathe the role of Marcus Fenix. A disgraced former war hero, Marcus seeks personal redemption as he leads his fire team against an onslaught of merciless warriors from below."
