As the filming schedule of "American Crime Story" approaches, more and more details are slowly being revealed to future viewers! The latest reports announced that Nathan Lane is now part of the stellar cast!

Lane is famous for lending his voice to the "Lion King" character, Timon. He also played the role of Albert Goldman in the movie "The Birdcage" and was also casted in the movie "Mousehunt" where he earned the role of Ernie Smuntz. Deadline reported that the two- time Tony award winning actor will be portraying the "framed attorney F. Lee Bailey" in the highly-anticipated "American Crime Story."

Along with the 590-year-old actor, previous reports mentioned that Cuba Gooding Jr. will portray O.J. Simpson in the very first season of "American Crime Story." Gooding and Lane will be joined by John Travolta who has been casted as Robert Shapiro, the defense attorney of Simpson.

The "Cruel Intentions" actress, Selma Blair will also be part of the cast of the upcoming crime anthology. She will portray the famous Kris Jenner, while Robert Kardashian will be portrayed by former "Friends" star David Schwimmer. Other "American Crime Story" casts include Connie Britton, Sterling K. Brown, Courtney Vance, Billy Magnussen, Christian Clemenson and the "American Horror Story" cast, Sarah Paulson.

The upcoming crime series will be executive produced by Ryan Murphy. And much like "American Horror Story" each season will feature a different story; however, it will feature famous crime story that occurred in real life.

Despite the fact that the O.J Simpson case is famous, Murphy aims to show a different angle in the case. He wants the behind-the-scenes action shown to their future "American Crime Story" viewers.

The new TV series will be based on the book entitled "The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson" by Jeffrey Toobin. It will be released on 2016.
