Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only child of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, is dead. She was 22.

In a statement released to the public on July 26, Sunday, by the family's representative, she died while being surrounded by her loved ones and that she is now at peace in the presence of God. The family members also wish to thank those who showed their great support and love especially to Bobbi Kristina over the many months she's been hospitalized. The daughter spent her remaining days in Peachtree Christian Hospice facility located in Duluth, Georgia.

It remains unclear what her actual medical condition was, except that in some moments, it was described as deteriorating.

Bobbi Kristina, called Krissy, was born on March 4, 1993, in Livingston, New Jersey. Both of her parents are musicians, with Houston being considered as one of the greatest women singers of all time. She's also a relative of Dionne Warwick.

At an early age, she was already exposed to the limelight, and her family struggles became a favorite target to talk about by the media. Her parents were embroiled in drug-related and domestic issues. At age 10, she already starred in their own family reality show called Being Bobby Brown shown in Bravo.

When her parents divorced, Houston obtained custody of Bobbi Kristina. Houston was found unresponsive in a bathtub in a hotel in 2012 due to drugs and heart disease. Bobbi Kristina became the sole beneficiary of her mother's estate. However, early news reports suggest she was deeply hurt by what happened she became depressed and suicidal.

Bobbi Kristina eventually lived with Nick Gordon, who lived in the Houston home when he was still young. It was Gordon and a friend who supposedly discovered Bobbi Kristina in a bathtub in their home in Georgia on January 31, 2015. Although she was still breathing when responders came, the doctors placed her in induced coma due to significant brain damage. Prior to being in hospice care, she was brought to Emory University hospital and to specialists in Chicago.
