"Daredevil" season 2 returns next year but cast updates have already been made available. Matt Murdock's mentor returns to help improve his fighting, while more good-doers join the vigilante team.

Latest updates have revealed that Matt Murdock's mentor will be returning to "Daredevil 2" to possibly help improve our blind hero's crime fighting style. One of the cast members in season 1 of "Daredevil," will be making an appearance in the upcoming season 2 of the show.

According to Deadline, the mentor of Matt Murdock, Stick, who is being portrayed by Scott Glenn, will join the season 2 of "Daredevil." The character of Scott Glenn will be making an appearance in three episodes; Stick was introduced in season 1 as the mentor of Matt Murdock who helped him get past his disability, and turn it into something that will help not only him, but the people around him.

"The mysterious and sardonic character of Stick crashes into Daredevil's life right when he needs him the least," revealed the report. "Responsible for training young Matt and then abandoning him, Stick returns with a new mission that Matt wants no part of."

Meanwhile, season 2 of "Daredevil" will also add a new cast member to the team. According to the same website, the team of "Daredevil" added Stephen Rider as a new cast member to portray the role of Blake Tower. Blake Tower is a district attorney in New York City and his task will be to help Daredevil in his journey to topple crime in the city. Blake Tower will also be joined by The Punisher who will be played by Jon Bernthal and Elektra, who will be portrayed by Elodie Yung.

The cast will begin working on "Daredevil" season 2 start later this year.

"It'll be the same timeline as the last show, so season 2 will come out about this time next year," Charlie Cox shared with Empire Online.

"Again, I'm imagining all this, but they'll probably do Iron Fist or Luke Cage at the same time, followed by the other one [of the two] in the first half of 2016 and then maybe Defenders in the second half of 2016 or the beginning of 2017."

Although fans will have to wait a little more longer for "Daredevil" season 2, cast updates have already been giving hints on what's coming next year. Do you think more characters should be added to the show?
