To the joy of “Full House” fans all around, Netflix will be releasing the follow-up series “Fuller House” in 2016, according to E! Online.

Amidst casting rumors and questions as to whether Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will be making a comeback for “Fuller House”, actor John Stamos decided to address any speculation regarding the sisters’ return during an interview with “Today.”

"They're fully welcome anytime, I love them and there was a lot of miscommunication in the press and stuff," Stamos told Matt Lauer.

“I talked to them, I understood why they didn't want to come back. They just have big lives, they haven't acted in a while, but I love them dearly and they're always welcome on our show."

The Olsens switched off to play Michelle Tanner, the youngest member of the Tanner family, on “Full House," according to NY Daily News. When word broke that the Olsen twins would not be a part of the new show’s cast, Stamos had reportedly tweeted “heartbroken.”

Regardless of the fact that the Olsen twins will not be returning, Stamos has expressed that he’s excited for the spinoff as he had reportedly attempted to get a “Full House” reboot started for six or seven years now.

"It was cancelled a little premature, we were still going strong, we didn't even know the show was going to be cancelled until a few weeks before, we didn't even do a finale of 'Full House,'" he said.

“Fuller House” will reportedly follow Candace Cameron Bure’s DJ Tanner-Fuller, who is newly widowed and taking care of three kids with the help of sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and Kimmy Gibbler. The first episode will reportedly be a reunion with Stamos, Bob Saget, Lori Loughlin, Dave Coulier, Blake and Dylan Tuomy-Wilhoit.

“I think people will be very happy, it's very sweet, it has a lot of the same elements as the original did," Stamos said of “Fuller House.”
