Katie Holmes is rumored to be using her daughter Suri to get more money from ex-husband Tom Cruise. Apparently, the actress is struggling to fund a bi-coastal lifestyle for her 9-year-old daughter.
"Katie has told her friends she intends to pursue this," a source told Grazia, according to Belfast Telegraph. "She is struggling to fund a bi-coastal lifestyle! Lately, Katie has been acting in low budget films that do not tend to pay as well. So, she has resolved to get Tom to pay more towards Suri's upkeep."
It was also reported by News Everyday that Katie Holmes, with Suri, had actually planned to ask for more money - in addition to the monthly $33,000 - from Tom Cruise earlier, but had to wait for three years after their divorce proceedings were finalized. Apparently, there was a clause in their papers that had to be sorted out.
"As Suri gets older, Katie believes the figure is less adequate to fulfilling her needs and for being a single parent and sole caregiver," the insider added. "Tom has let it be known that he contests Katie's financial demands and is determined to challenge her. He tends to do whatever it takes to get his way."
With the "Mission Impossible" actor hell-bent on getting his way, Holmes had reportedly asked help from her father, who is an attorney, to help her with her case. At this point, Holmes has sole custody of their daughter.
Katie Holmes, amidst issues that concern Suri and Tom Cruise, is presently being romantically linked to Jamie Foxx. According to the latest buzz, this rumored couple has plans of getting married pretty soon and starting their own family.
"While Katie and Jamie have tried to keep their romance on the down low since her split with Tom, they are soon going to be ready to make it public," an insider revealed, according to Classicalite. "They plan to begin living together at Jamie's palatial estate in Westlake Village, California and want to start a family so Suri can have another brother or sister."
