‘One Piece: Burning Blood’ Gameplay Details And New Character Revealed; Game Similar To ‘Naruto?’

This month's issue of V-Jump magazine has revealed "One Piece: Burning Blood" gameplay details as well as a new character.

ShonenGamez reported that Smoker will be appear in the upcoming fighting game based on Eiichiro Oda's manga. The White Hunter will join Luffy, Ace, Sabo, Law, Batholomeo, Doflamingo, Crocodile and Eneru as "One Piece: Burning Blood" characters.

The game was announced by Bandai Namco at Tokyo Game Show 2015. It is being developed by Spike Chunsoft and will be published for PS4, PS Vita and Xbox One.

The official website for "One Piece: Burning Blood" was launched last month. The game is expected to be shipped next year. It will also be available in 12 languages.

The game is said to focus on characters possessing Devil Fruits abilities. This month's issue of V-Jump also gave fans more details about the "One Piece: Burning Blood" gameplay.

According to Siliconera, players can use the Logia Guard to render their opponents' physical attacks useless. However, it can be beaten with Haki-based attacks. The "Logia Move" ability allows "One Piece: Burning Blood" characters like Ace to fly around.

The game's "Battle Royale" system enables players to switch between partners in order to avoid their opponents' attacks. This can also give them a moment to be able to heal up.

Venture Capital Post reported that the "One Piece: Burning Blood" gameplay has similarities with the "Naruto" game series. Characters of both games have the unique ability to increase their attack power and reverse incoming attacks.

The "One Piece: Burning Blood" gameplay will have an advanced battle system. The Devil Fruit and Haki are said to have the ability to affect the battles. Players will need to strategize on how to overthrow different Devil Fruits users.

The publication added that the game marks the first time that the "One Piece" manga franchise will be on the Xbox One console. "Burning Blood's" story will begin when Luffy recruited Zoro in his fight against the Doflamingo Pirates.
