Adele released her new track “Hello” along with a gorgeous music video late last week, leaving us all to think about any relationship and/or crush we’ve ever had.

For those who were led to believe that “Hello” is about her ex-boyfriend, you thought wrong.

“It's not about anything specific," the singer said about her new song during an interview with Ryan Seacrest, according to E! News.

“I have a little curiosity about my past now that I'm a grown up. We're not kids anymore and stuff like that. It's kind of a hello to all my old friends, all the relationships I've had, all my old teachers, my little me when I was 7 or 8, and also a bit of a hello to all my fans because I've been gone for so long."

Even if the stunning new track was about her past relationship, that wouldn’t be a problem for her fans, or her fiancé Simon Konecki.

“We're like in a solid relationship and he's my soul mate and my best mate, and he sees it as my art and my outlet and something that I did before him," the mother-of-one explained.

“[‘Hello'] is not about a past boyfriend or anything like that, but if it was, I think he'd be alright with it anyway because we're in a strong healthy place. It wouldn't be an issue."

Adele’s “21” was an international best-seller. The album broke the hearts of fans all around as the English singer took us on her journey of love and loss.

Adele has been open about her past record being about a break-up. Her new album titled “25,” which is due out next month, isn’t going down the same path, according to the San Diego Union Tribune.

“My last record was a break up record and if I had to label this one I would call it a make-up record," Adele wrote on her Facebook page.

“I’m making up with myself. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did. But I haven’t got time to hold on to the crumbs of my past like I used to. What’s done is done."
