A "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" spin-off may be in development.

Movie News Guide reported that a "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" spin-off based on Sasuke Uchiha and Naruto Uzumaki's relationship with each other. Series creator Masashi Kishimoto has recently revealed that it would be interesting to have the "Naruto" story told from another character's perspective.

Kishimoto also added that a "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" spin-off based on the perspective of Naruto's teacher and legendary Sannin Jiraiya would definitely create a fresh view of the original plot. However, the publication commented that this will have a generational difference since Jutsu was not as refined as the time when Naruto grew up.

"There are infinite possibilities right now," the "Naruto" manga series creator told Anime News Network. "If I decide that I want to do more 'Naruto' stories, perhaps I will, perhaps I won't. That said, there is nothing firmly in the works at this time. Just that there is always the possibility..."

Recently, Masashi Kishimoto talked to Entertainment Weekly about his manga series and the future of the franchise. The "Naruto" manga creator revealed that he is proud that he was able to bring his series to a successful conclusion.

"Not in terms of a commercial success, but to complete the story I had envisioned," he said. "That is one of the things I'm most proud of. And I had absolutely no idea that it would ever be a success, much less a success of the level of what it is now."

Kishimoto also admitted that a lot of people can relate to his "Naruto" manga series because of its theme. "I think everyone, no matter where they live and what they look like, will come up against obstacles and have to overcome them," he said.

"[Now that 'Naruto' is complete] I plan to go to Hawaii, first of all," Kishimoto revealed of his future plans. "And I do have an idea in mind for my next project. Unfortunately, I can't really talk about it yet. I definitely also want to get some quality time with my kids."
