"American Crime Story" is still in the making but release date has been revealed, and a cast member from the film "Thor" has confirmed to join season 1.
The upcoming "American Crime Story" is currently filming season 1, and updates about the show are slowly surfacing. In a report by TheWrap, the crime series finally found an actor who will portray defense attorney Carl E. Douglas in season 1 of the show. Though he did not play a major role in the film, Dale Godboldo was casted as Agent Garrett in the 2011 movie, "Thor." Aside from the superhero movie, Godboldo is also known for his appearance in the remake of the movie "Fame."
Instead of playing the role of an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., Dale Godboldo will be seen in "American Crime Story" portraying the role of Carl E. Douglas who will be part of the defense team of O.J. Simpson. It was mentioned that Douglas is a great lawyer considering the fact that he's a defense attorney of an NFL star.
It seems that "American Crime Story" viewers will get to see more of the "Thor" cast member seeing that he will be appearing in episodes 2 until 10 of season 1. Alongside Godboldo, EW revealed other cast members: Cuba Gooding Jr. will be playing the role of the NFL star himself, O.J. Simpson. To play the role of Robert Shapiro is the "Grease" actor, John Travolta.
Meanwhile, Robert Kardashian will be portrayed by David Schwimmer who is famous for his role in the hit sitcom, "Friends." Other cast members for season 1 of "American Crime Story" includes Selma Blair (Kris Jenner), Sarah Paulson (Marcia Clark), Sterling K. Brown (Christopher Darden) and many other stellar actors and actresses.
