The anti-thesis to the hero has been casted, yet there's seems to be trouble finding the right "Shazam!"-it's still a long while before the movie premieres, but here's what we know so far.
There have been numerous reports about updated casting on the 2019 film "Shazam!" but not a peep about the lead character also known as Captain Marvel. A report by FoodWorldNews reported the aspiring addition to the list of cast members of "Shazam!" to be Sienna Miller.
According to the report, when Sienna Miller was asked if she wanted to be part of the cast of "Shazam!" she replied, "I'm not a person who reads a lot of comics and I don't really know that world, particularly well...but I think it would be quite fun -- for my kid as well. She'd like it."
The only official cast of "Shazam!" has been sitting for a long while waiting for the movie's development and is none other than Dwayne Johnson. "The Rock" was initially offered to portray the titular character, to which fans eagerly waited for a response. He then announced that he would opt to take the role of Black Adam, the antithesis to the hero.
Previous reports have revealed Dwayne Johnson's excitement be the first cast member officially announced for "Shazam!"
"I can't wait to share more casting news by the way," he said in an interview with MTV. "No, we haven't picked a 'Shazam' yet, and we have been working on the script. Half the scripts [have] already come in. Fantastic, very excited about it."
Ecstatic about his character in the upcoming "Shazam!" movie, Dwayne Johnson added, "And starting off properly is him not being a hero. That's got to be earned, so he starts off as a slave. And he's pissed off, and people are going to pay. But eventually down the line he'll become an anti-hero."
Who else could join the cast of "Shazam!" remains to be seen. The movie premieres on April 5, 2019.
