"One Punch Man" anime season 2 may be coming soon.
Design&Trend reported that "One Punch Man" anime's first season left a lot of fans wanting more of the series. There are speculations that season 2 is in the works but there haven't been any official announcements about it.
Kpopstarz reported that "One Punch Man" anime creator Yusuke Murata took to Twitter last Dec. 14 to reveal that he is hard at work in making season 2 happen.
The publication commented that the "breakthrough anime of 2015" soared to popularity "because of its astounding design and fight scenes, catchy humor and most importantly, its remarkable characters."
It is believed that "One Punch Man" anime's success is partly due to the best animators in the industry working on the project. Shueisha enlisted Mad House and Shingo Natsume's group of friends to work on the series.
However, "One Punch Man" anime season 2 may not arrive soon since the manga is still ongoing as well. "Note that it doesn't mean Season 2 is 'confirmed.' There's not enough content to be adapted as of now," Anime Corner wrote.
"Murata said that he will work hard to make it possible!"
"One Punch Man" manga is still at chapter 86, which is the "Garou Arc." Episode 12 of the anime ended with Saitama's fight with Lord Boros, which happened around chapter 37 in the manga.
Meanwhile, the official website for the "One Punch Man" anime has released teasers for two new OVA (original video anime) episodes. The first OVA is entitled "A Shadow That Snuck Up Too Close." It features an original story written by "One Punch Man" manga creator ONE.
It takes place after Saitama fought with Mosquito Girl in "One Punch Man" episode 2. The first OVA episode focuses on Genos as he tries to find out the secret behind the hero-for-fun's strength.
The second "One Punch Man" anime OVA episode is entitled "The Pupil Who Is an Extremely Poor Talker." It will be included in "One Punch Man" anime's second Blu-ray Disc/DVD which will be released on Jan. 29, 2016.
