Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker returns to Episode 8. But, why haven't we seen Hayden Christensen in other movies after "Star Wars" save for a handful of small films?

Numerous reports have revealed that 34-year-old actor Hayden Christensen has been confirmed to return to the next installment of the legendary movie "Star Wars" and is already working on production to date. According to a report by MakingStarWars, "A team in the U.K. are soon heading to the U.S. to begin training Hayden Christensen for a 'Star Wars: Episode VIII' appearance of some sort."

While this is a good news for some fans of "Star Wars" especially with the continuity of the movie, it seems Hayden Christensen himself is reluctant to return. The actor behind Darth Vader has not been seen in appearing in a lot of movies after "Star Wars" and apparently, Hayden Christensen himself opted out of Hollywood.

In an interview with LATimes, Hayden Christensen revealed that portraying Anakin Skywalker, aka Darth Vader, in "Star Wars" changed his life. While mostly for the good, were parts of the fame and fortune that didn't quite agree with him.

"I guess I felt like I had this great thing in 'Star Wars' that provided all these opportunities and gave me a career, but it all kind of felt a little too handed to me," Hayden Christensen revealed. "I didn't want to go through life feeling like I was just riding a wave," added the "Star Wars" actor.

While the return of Hayden Christensen remains quite hazy for "Star Wars" fans especially his character, the Jedi Anakin Skywalker who eventually turns to the dark side and becomes Darth Vader.

Previous reports have revealed that because of the confirmation of the return of Hayden Christensen to "Star Wars," the next installment, episode 8 could likely be riddled with flashbacks. It was initially pointed out to be the way in which Hayden Christensen's character could return to the "Star Wars" movies.

However, there may also be that possibility that as Anakin Skywalker joined Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi in the last "Star Wars" film ("Return of the Jedi"), Hayden Christensen's character return will be ghost-like, so to speak.

"Star Wars" episode 8 production is ongoing for a 2017 release. Thoughts about Hayden Christensen's comeback?
