It has been over a year since fans last heard new music from the Vancouver punk band White Lung and fans may be expecting a new album soon, which the band has promised to be working on in late 2015.

In a past phone interview with The Vancouver Sun, White Lung guitarist Kenneth William gushed over all the places the band has gone to just for the year 2015 alone. For the band's tour in support to their third album "Deep Fantasy," White Lung were able to tour many parts of the world  including Japan, Australia, New Zealand and many parts of Europe. They even had gigs in Russia: in Moscow and in St. Petersburg.

"The promoters were a little skeptical about letting us wander around on our own, but everyone was super nice," William told The Vancouver Sun. "Those shows were great. No one seemed that fazed (when the power went out in their St. Petersburg gig). It was like, 'Welcome to Russia!'"

"Deep Fantasy," White Lung's third album, had earned high acclaims from critics, including Pitchfork and Rolling Stone. The Vancouver Sun describes "Deep Fantasy" as "the kind of punk statement that works on broad spectrum.

"It provides visceral thrills with a cerebral touch edge, a perfect fit for their label Domino, the U.S. indie imprint also home to names like Toronto composer and singer-songwriter Owen Pallett and British rockers Arctic Monkeys," The Vancouver Sun wrote.

In December 2014, Kenneth William said that they are taking a seven-month break before they work on their next album. This means that anytime soon, fans may expect a new album from the much-celebrated punk band.

What would White Lung's next album be like? In the same interview, William teased what fans may expect for their next album. According to him, Mish Way, the band's singer, discovered a pattern indicated on the last song of each of White Lung's albums.

William said that the 57-second "Deadbeat" from their 2012 album "Sorry" became the jumping point into "Deep Fantasy." He suggested that "In Your Home," which was "Deep Fantasy's" closing track, may also be the next album's jumping point. This means that the next album may be executed with a little bit more pop sensibility.
