''The Nice Guys'' directed by Shane Black and co-written with Anthony Bagarozzi stars Russell Crowe, Ryan Gosling, Angourice Rice, Matt Bomer, Margaret Qualley, Keith David and Kim Basinger.

IMDB reported that this upcoming 2016 American mystery thriller dark comedy is produced by Silver Pictures and Waypoint Entertainment and will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.

This murder conspiracy thriller ''The Nice Guys'' was announced in June 2014 and will be in theatres all across the US on May 20, 2016.

The star studded movie has a murder mystery to be solved by the duo. Russell Crowe plays the role of detective Jackson Healy while Ryan Gosling will be Private Holland March. Margaret Qualley is playing the role of Amelia and Kim Basinger is Amelia's mother in the movie, who works for the Department of Justice.

Ty Simpkins was added to the cast to play Bobby, a young boy whose shocking discovery sparks the mystery that Crowe and Healy must solve. Jack Kilmer is playing the role of Chet, a young film projectionist who is a friend and confidante of Amelia. He proves vital to the investigation.

Shane Black's ''Lethal Weapon'' which was released in 1987 made 120.2 million in the box office. His ''Lethal Weapon 2'' released in 1989 was nominated for Oscar. His latest blockbuster ''Iron Man 3'' topped all the charts across the globe and won an academy award for ''Best achievement in visual effects''. Altogether this movie bagged 52 awards.

Russell Crowe received three consecutive best actor Oscar nominations, for ''The Insider'', ''Gladiator'' and ''A Beautiful Mind''. This intense actor has a track record of giving award winning performances.

Ryan Gosling who plays the role of Private Holland March in this movie had co-starred in the psychological thriller ''Murder by Numbers'' (2002). In 2005, Ryan Gosling appeared as a disturbed young art student in Stay, a psychological thriller film co-starring Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor. Going by his track record, he seems to be the perfect choice for this movie.

Even though the movie will release shortly, the box office betting already is doing great for this movie- ''The Nice Guys''. Only time will talk about the success quotient of this thriller.
