The new year has come but Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx dating news and rumors just continue to surge.
According to the latest gossip, the rumored couple might purportedly be secretly eloping to marry soon.
In an item on Hollywood Life, it was mentioned that Tom Cruise might seemingly push through with plans to get custody of their daughter, Suri Cruise, as the "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" apparently felt threatened by the "Django Unchained" actor.
"He's been fine with Katie raising Suri as a single parent," an insider told In Touch as cited by the source above. "There's no way he's going to sit still and let another man - especially Jamie - raise his daughter."
Regardless of the news of the imminent rumored custody case, Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx reportedly wasn't letting it affect their purported plans.
"There's going to be a wedding, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was a custody battle" the source added. "Katie knows her decision to marry Jamie could invite Tom and his team of advisers and lawyers back into her and Suri's life. But that isn't going to stop her. Katie just wants to live a normal life - and that life now includes Jamie."
Gossip Cop reiterated though that there was no truth to the eloping and wedding rumors as well as the custody case gossip. The site both cited reps of the "Dawnson's Creek" actress and Oscar-winning actor denying the In Touch report.
The said clarification even earned the nod of the 37-year-old actress.
According to Ace of Showbiz, Katie Holmes expressed her gratefulness to Gossip Cop for dispelling the nonstop rumors and news linking her to friend Jamie Foxx.
"I don't ask for much other than to respect my daughter's privacy and stop publishing ridiculous lies," she wrote on Instagram. "I thought this screen grab would link to an article saying that in a more subtle way, but turns out I'm not so social media savvy!"
