Windows phone users will get their Snapchat apps alright, but will co-founders approve after all the hatred?

The hatred towards Windows phone platform is not brand new news for those who have wishing to get the Snapchat app into their mobile devices. It was earlier reported that Rudy Huyn, app creator including Snapchat isn't fond of Microsoft (aka Windows phone platforms) and according to Techworm, bad blood exists between the two.

"While Windows Phones have one of the smoothest interfaces as far as mobile operating systems are concerned, the only element that will be their downfall is the lack of applications present on it," said the report. "Rudy Huyn, who happens to be the creator of several successful Windows Phone apps, had his Snapchat application pulled from the store after the company specifically wanted all third-party clients to be banned on Windows Phone," it pointed out.

While initially, Windows phone enthusiasts who wanted to install the Snapchat apps in their mobile were considering either switching phones or finding another social app to pour their selfies into, finally there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel.

A report by TechWeekEurope revealed that amid the hatred, a Snapchat app is already in the works for Windows phone. "Developer Filiph Sandström is reportedly working on an open source (third-party) Snapchat app for WP and Windows 10," said the report. "But in doing so, he risks the wrath of Snapchat CEO and co-founder Evan Spiegel," it added.

While the development of the Snapchat app for Windows phone is a good sign of progress, the release of such app still remains unconfirmed especially with the pronounced hatred of co-founder Evan Spiegel towards Microsoft. WMPowerUser pointed out that, "Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel has been called 'Kind of an Ass' and has long been felt to have something personal against Microsoft."

"Given his immature behavior it seems unlikely a first party client will ever become available, which ironically leaves our only hope a 3rd party client where developers are personally at risk of having Snapchat's heavies show up at their door," it said.
