Nina Dobrev's latest movie venture will reportedly be "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, former "The Vampire Diaries" actress Nina Dobrev and "Orange is the New Black" star Ruby Rose "are in various stages of negotiations" to join the "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage" cast.

D.J. Caruso will be directing the Vin Diesel action spy reboot while F. Scott Frazier is writing the script. Samuel L. Jackson has already been confirmed as part of "The Return of Xander Cage" cast.

The original "xXx," which was seen as an "anti-James Bond spy film," focused on extreme athlete Xander Cage (Vin Diesel) who was enlisted by the government as a spy. It reportedly grossed $142 million domestically.

A sequel was developed last 2005 but Diesel was not part of the cast. It only grossed $26 million domestically.

THR added that plot details haven't been announced yet. Apparently, the reboot will return its focus on Cage. However, it will also pair him up with a core team of "sexy badasses and comic comic relief players" similar to the "Fast and Furious" franchise.

"Dobrev will play a witty and sarcastic techie, while [Deepika] Padukone will play a huntress who happens to be Cage's former lover," the publication wrote.

"Rose will play a sniper. Jackson will return as the head of the National Security Agency."

Meanwhile, India Today reported that Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone has been confirmed to join "The Return of Xander Cage" cast. Moreover, she will be working with Nina Dobrev and Ruby Rose in the upcoming movie.

Collider confirmed that Nina Dobrev will be a part of the "xXx" reboot. Also, the film will start production this month.

Furthermore, "The Return of Xander Cage" will reportedly be filmed in Toronto and the Philippines. No release date has been announced as of the moment.

Nina Dobrev recently starred in horror comedy movie "The Final Girls." She has two more films coming up: "Crash Pad" and "Arrivals."

Ruby Rose will be appearing in the sequel of Keanu Reeves' "John Wick" and "Resident Evil 6."
