After releasing a re-mastered version of "God of War 3" on Sony's PlayStation 4, fans are craving to know anything about the "God of War 4" PS4 release date.
As stated by crossmap.com, talks of a new release sparked when the developers decided to make a re-mastered version of the game's 3rd installment which was released July 2015 last year.
One of the game's developers Cory Barlog described the remaster as "action-packed thrill ride of a game will take series newcomers and regulars alike on a retina-popping thrill ride filled to the absolute brim with 1080p gameplay, silky smooth combat, earth-shaking weapons, bosses you simply have to face to believe and an all-new photo mode so you can share those most tender of 'God of War' moments, like stabbing a Minotaur in the frickin' face, with your friends and loved ones."
He then added, "I highly recommend everyone grab a copy and play because whether you are new to the series or Spartan veterans, God of War III Remastered is one damn fine game."
According to ign.com, a plausible "God of War 4" PS4 release date could be either 2016 or 2017 but fans can expect constant updates from Barlog. The only thing that fans can be certain of at this point is that the game is already under development.
As per christianpost.com, despite Kratos' death in the end of "God of War 3," fans can expect the return of the hero as it was hinted by the game's writer. However, Barlog refused to comment if the legendary Kratos will be the next game's protagonist. With no certain details yet, rumors have surfaced that a new mythical creature will be featured in the game's fourth installment.
One thing's for sure, the game will definitely not be a prequel and will continue the story line from the previous game.
