CES or the International Consumer Electronics Show is an annual event that shows some of the best electronics that will soon hit the market.
One of those electronic gadgets that made the most attention is Dell's Alienware 13 with OLED - one of the first of its kind that will soon hit the market. On Dell's official Alienware 13 site, the current configuration comes with the traditional Full HD screen supported by graphics amplifier. Reviews of the latest configuration have been stellar because of its amazing graphics due to its OLED display.
According to Laptop Mag, the Alienware 13 with OLED was built specifically for gamers seeking top of the line graphics. The games displayed on screen looked absolutely gorgeous. Phones like the Samsung Galaxy S6 have shown us how beautifully OLED screens can reproduce images, and gaming will clearly put it to good use." Digital Trends also offers the same glowing review of the laptop as the "the OLED display provided an illusion of depth and punchy colors that, at times, made the aging game look downright beautiful. Even the introductory cinematic looked slick."
Tech Worm also reported their review of the latest Alienware 13 with OLED and they provided another perspective on why the graphics are simply astounding. Aside from the ability to produce superior, clear and precise image quality, "OLED displays also have one other advantage; they are able to refresh the pixels at an extremely fast pace, which results in the reduction of visual stuttering in games."
OLED could be the next big trend in laptops and computers but the main reason why it is only limited to mobile phones and small gadgets is the fact that it's very expensive. According to CNET, the drool-worthy graphics of Alienware 13 with OLED is expected to hit the market April this year and the price starts at $1,499.
