Now here's an interesting news that Nikon D500 is going to release with a small scale, APS-C and indeed it could be the most important camera that Nikon releases this year.

The Nikon D500 sits at the top of Nikon's APS-C (DX) format SLRs and it's aimed at serious enthusiasts and professional photographers who want a smaller, lighter camera than a full-frame model. It's also designed for pros who want the focal length magnification of the DX format sensor to give their telephoto lenses greater reach.

An interesting feature of Nikon D500 is that its APS-C format sensor has 20.9 million effective pixels, less than the company's other recent (24Mp) SLRs of the same format. Interestingly, the D5 announced at the same time has 20.8 million pixels on its full-frame sensor.

The "Nikon D500" incorporates the same powerful 153-point AF system as the D5 and also it ensuring precise object acquisition even during high-speed continuous shooting at approx 10 fps where it supports 4K UHD movies. It is designed to meet the demands of multimedia professionals, to deliver high-quality images and movies with EXPEED 5 image-processing and sensitivity ranging ISO 100 to 51200, expandable Up to ISO 1640000 equivalent.

The Nikon D500 combines the ability of the DX system with superior usability. It employs a touch-screen, tilting monitor, and features SnapBridge support, which enhances the value of your images via constant wireless connection with a smart device. The camera is compatible with the newly released MB-D17 Multi-Power Battery Pack which can be used with various types of battery.

Nikon D500 is having two card slots, one accepts SD type media while the other is for the faster XQD cards. XQD cards are not common unlike cameras accept SD-type media and this could be set to change.

In addition Nikon plans to offer a kit with the relatively new 16-80mm f2.8-4 lens for $3,070 and "Nikon D500" is going to release in March 2016.
