If more "Kingdom Hearts 3" worlds are coming, does it mean a 2016 release date isn't going to happen?
There have been many speculations about the release date of "Kingdom Hearts 3" especially since it was leaked late last year from a pre-order date. Previous reports have revealed that the pre-order dates for "Kingdom Hearts 3" set last December could mean that the release date for the next adventure of Sora will be sometime this year. However, to date, Square Enix hasn't revealed release date details of the PS4 and Xbox One versions of "Kingdom Hearts 3."
Now, what's even more disconcerting is the fact that "Kingdom Hearts 3" director Tetsuya Nomura has revealed that development has put the "Kingdom Hearts 3" worlds a priority. A report by DesignNTrend revealed that Square Enix is putting a lot of effort into ensuring that both new and old worlds in "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be at par with what developments fans have been expecting.
"We are prioritizing the creation of new worlds in 'Kingdom Hearts 3,' and we would have to consider the reveal timing of those worlds, making sure that we discuss with Disney," revealed Square Enix via the report. "That opening scene is very versatile, since it doesn't involve those new worlds, plus it's a great asset to use as a prologue to build up excitement towards 'Kingdom Hearts 3'."
"Also, the scenes that we have currently have released is not the final product so please look forward to any changes that we may make in the future as well," the statement added. While this means that the worlds in "Kingdom Hearts 3" could be a great level-up factor in the game, it also could mean that the 2016 release date could not be workable-at least not for the first part of the year.
Although speculations about the release date have pointed out that it has been a while since "Kingdom Hearts 3" development began, plus the "leaked" pre-order details, there's very little confirmation from Square Enix of the actual release date details. And until there's actual confirmation that 2016 is indeed the launch date for "Kingdom Hearts 3," all fans could do it wait, and wait some more.
