There is no denying how global warming is one of the biggest problems humanity is facing at present. According to statistics not only has carbon dioxide levels risen by 34% since the 17th century but it is also expected that the average temperature of the planet would increase by 5.8 degrees by 2100. There have been many efforts to halt the global climate shift however it seems like all efforts were futile at least according to a recently released study.

Last Wednesday, both NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration released data showing that 2015 is the hottest year ever recorded. According to their study global land and ocean temperatures is 1.62 degrees higher than the average. Last year broke 2014's record of a .29 F increase. Still the agencies further state that this is the fourth time in this century that global temperature records have been broken.

Scientists warn that the recently procured date should be evidence enough that the global warming problem is indeed a dire issue.

"This announcement should put pressure on governments to urgently implement their commitments to act against climate change, and to increase the strength of their planned cuts in annual emissions of greenhouse gases" quipped Bob Ward from the Grantham Research Institute on climate Change and the Environment.

Still many are convinced that climate change is natural and efforts to stunt global warming are wasteful. Last December, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush addressed the concerns and according to him measures that would be taken now in order to prevent something that would happen in 50 years are bound to be wrong.

"The climate is changing-it always has, that's not any news flash-and the outcomes of that are still not determined. To create policies for today that will have some impact for 50 years from now is almost destined to be wrong" quipped Bush last December.
