Paramore fans may now rejoice as Hayley Williams recently confirmed that the band is writing a new album.
Hayley Williams on Jan. 20 incidentally broke out the news on Twitter after she posted about the band's gratitude for the support they continue to receive, especially in the past month that has been really trying for Paramore following the leaving of the band's bassist, Jeremy Davis, in December of last year.
"Wanna take a second to say thanks to all the people who have put out incredibly humbling/motivating articles about Paramore in the last month," Hayley Williams posted on Twitter.
"To name a few: @BuzzFeed , @UPROXX , & the new issue of @RockSound . I don't even really have any other words except for thank you," the band's female lead added.
Then she shared a tweet from a fan, @leonardo, who said, "I think you should say something about a new album, don't you?!"
Hayley Williams answered the fan tweet and confirmed the good news, "Haha, I suppose. We are writing it."
As highlighted by Spin in its report, there was a four-year gap between the 2009's "Brand New Eyes" and the self-titled album "Paramore" in 2013. So will it be another four-year gap? Hopefully not.
Hayley Williams previously posted on the official page of Paramore an emotional message about the struggles of the band in the past year.
"The Self-Titled era was one that we knew would be important for us but also one we'd eventually have to move on from," the post read.
"In moving forward, there is growth, pain and change... and sometimes the change is not at all what you hoped for. We've written and re-written this countless times and there's just not a good way to put it," she added.
The post further confirmed that despite the struggles, they still look to the future, saying, "After taking some time to consider how to move forward, we ultimately found that we really do believe Paramore can and should continue on. And so we will."
Paramore will be headlining the second Parahoy! Cruise on March 5-9 and hopefully will make announcements about the release of their upcoming album.
