American singer Mariah Carey is reportedly engaged to 48-year-old Australian billionaire James Packer, with a 35-carat diamond ring to adorn the siren, reported The Guardian on Friday.
The multibillion-dollar casino mogul allegedly invited some of Carey's friends to witness yet another "One Sweet Day" in the singer's life as he gets down on his knee to propose after dating Carey for seven months.
We can recall that Carey was previously married twice, to music executive Tommy Mottola in 1993 and American rapper Nick Cannon in 2008, with twins Moroccan and Monroe. Parker, on the other hand, was also married twice, to model Jodhi Meares in 1999 and singer Erica Baxter in 2007, with three children.
According to E! Online on Friday, sources noted how the couple "fell head over heels in love with one another" ever since they started dating.
"It's crazy how perfect they are together, they both know it and couldn't be happier," the source added.
Mariah Carey and James Parker allegedly met in 2014 during a movie premier in Aspen.
"We were talking and laughing and people were getting mad at us and stuff like that," Mariah told Steve Harvey in November. "So we hit it off."
"As soon as their friendship turned romantic, they have wanted to spend every moment together," said a source about the couple. "They have a connection that is unparalleled; it's been a very beautiful experience for them both. If you spend even five minutes with them, you can't help but believe in true love."
Carey and Packer has often been seen travelling the world, including a trip to the billionaire's homeland of Australia for New Year.
"Spectacular, handsome ...," Carey gushed on stage at Melbourne Crown Casino, which is owned by Packer. "I don't even have words for the man who introduced me tonight. We'll just say the amazing Mr. James Packer."
