The GoPro Hero 5 camera's release date has been allegedly pushed back, due to upgrades that are being made by the makers because they would like to provide better functionality and design, according to CrossMap.

The American camcorder company wants the device to stand out and it seems that the brand is adding more features. The delay is not because of difficulties or development problems behind the scenes. The makers would like to launch the camera earlier than scheduled.

The camera is said to have an 8k video resolution recording ability at full HD. That's double the current resolution of a Hero 4 Black and it is also rumored to have an optimized interface and better performance.

Some critics say that the higher resolution feature could pose problems instead of improving the quality. Finer details could be allegedly compromised and the battery life could also be affected but earlier models have proven otherwise and performed well in this area, revealed the Master Herald.

Recent news shows that the GoPro Hero 5 camera's release date, was set later this year but the camcorder maker wants to launch the device earlier than scheduled.

It has also been reported that the camera will have a higher frames per second ability, shooting up to 60 frames per second, which is again, twice the current highest setting in previous models.

The camcorder maker may unveil its latest products at the ongoing Consumer Electronic Show 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The two products that may be introduced are the GoPro Hero 5 and the latest addition to its action camera line, the GoPro Karma drone, which is a quadcopter.

Another possibility is the Go Pro Hero 5 and the Karma drone may be offered as a bundled package.

Consumers are excited that the camera may be the first Navy-seal like device because it can be used in land, water and air. The rumored price is said to be between $450 and $550 and if all the reported features are true then this would be a reasonable price.

No official announcement has been made as to when GoPro Hero 5 camera's release date will be. Features and specs reported so far are all speculative. Fans will just have to stay tuned, reported Ecumenical News.
