There seems to be some good news for the fans of ''Men in Black'' film series. The makers are thinking about coming up with ''Men in Black 4.''
Variety reported last year in Nov. that 'Men in Black 4' will add a new female agent and the producers are discussing the return of Will Smith too. IMDb updated some information on Aug. 25, 2015, however did not give any inputs about the plot or cast. Moviefone too talked about a female agent.
Comingsoon.net too talked about the inclusion of a female lead in great details. The producer of ''Men in Black'' Laurie MacDonald revealed that the upcoming revival of the series will feature "a prominent woman in black in the fourth [film]."
"We're very pleased with the financial performance of 'Men in Black 3,' and we believe it is an ongoing franchise. We're going to do [another one], but we don't have clarity yet on how it should be done'' in July 2012, Columbia Pictures chief executive Doug Belgrad said.
Meanwhile, Barry Sonnenfeld, the director of all the three prequels said that having Jaden Smith to replace his father will be good but is also a long-shot.
"Will's kind of really smart, but as I said, kind of really annoying, too much energy. When he would get too rambunctious, I would tell him save that for 'Men in Black 4', Will is out and [his son] Jaden Smith is in ... if we continue on this path, it won't be released until 2032 but it will be damn good," he said. .
"Jaden is already 13 years old, so he's at that mythological boys age, you know - it's time for his bro-mitzvah'' said Will Smith. Both Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones have said that they would "consider" appearing in ''Men in Black 4.''
2016 seems to be a lucky year for Will Smith. First he is being considered for the lead role in ''Bad Boys 3'' and now he might continue the role of James Darrell Edwards III / Agent J in ''Men in Black 4.''
