One of the popular rumors for the upcoming "Star Wars Episode 8" is that female protagonist Rey may find out her lineage and who she really is. A popular fan theory speculates that Rey is actually the daughter of Luke Skywalker.

The actor simply said that "sexuality is never directly addressed in the film" and that Luke Skywalker's sexuality was open to the audience's interpretation. Because of this, the website said that Rey might not be Luke's daughter. While there is no confirmation as of now as to what Rey's lineage is so this might be a possiblity.

The website said that this might be the reason why Han Solo almost immediately warms up to Rey when he sees her. Han Solo might also want to make up for the years that he has not seen her and made her a crew of the Millennium Falcon.

There are also some theories that Rey is a descendant of Obi-Wan Kenobi. There are very little clues as to who Rey's parents are and until then, fan theories are abound.
